My theory is that JDW acts as protagonist in the first half of the movie but at the middle of the movie everything is reversing and RP is taking role of the protagonist and helps JDW in the "past" There are many clues about this in the second trailer. There, Reddit user DjSapsan has an interesting theory that even the structure of the movie is time-warped, and that JDW and Pattinson’s agents exist in either different realities, or timelines: What i see is that JDW and RP are metaphorical opposites of each other.
